This piece is of Prospero's "We are such stuff as dreams are made of" monologue from The Tempest in Secretary hand, which was the hand that Shakespeare wrote in. This piece was commissioned for auction at a fundraiser dinner held by Pittsburgh Shakespeare in the Parks. I made the paste paper with dark blue and purple acrylic and flecks of silver dust. The text is in white and the famous line is highlighted in gold ink. This piece was created with goauche and ink on paste paper.
